Sports Caravan now in bicol
NAGA CITY—Find the next generation of Filipino sports heroes by building a permanent environment where these future champions can flourish.
The Philippine Sports Commission encouraged top local government officials here in Bicol to put up a genuine sports program aligned with the national effort of the government sports agency to discover more talents in various sports from the countryside.
“Find the next Lydia De Vega, Mona Sulaiman and sports champions who all made our country proud,” PSC commissioner Celia Kiram told the mayors, city and provincial sports officials Monday during the Bicol leg of the Sports Caravan organized by the PSC.
Article continues after this advertisementPSC Commissioner Arnold Agustin said the Sports Caravan that already went to Visayas (Cebu City) and Mindanao (Davao City) last week aims to revive Executive Order 63 and 64 of former President Ramos for the formation of a National Physical Fitness and Sports Development Council.
The caravan goes to Lipa City, Batangas, on Thursday.
