Frustration could no longer encapsulate what NLEX is feeling after falling to a 0-3 slate in the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
“It’s not just frustration. We feel everything now, even irritation and anger,” said Jansen Rios moments after the Road Warriors’ 89-81 defeat to Mahindra.

Things have gone from bad to worse for the Road Warriors as coach Yeng Guiao repeated his desperate plea for the players to provide help for import Wayne Chism.
Rios was the one to heed the call on Friday, finishing with 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
However, the two still couldn’t carry NLEX over the hump as the team remained at the cellar early in this middle conference.

Disappointed with another loss, Rios struggled to keep his poise when he tried to address what he thought was causing the Road Warriors’ woes.
“Some of us are feeling the pressure. They want to show what they can do. They want every shot they take to go in. In our desire to win, we sometimes go out of coach Yeng’s system,” he said.
Rios said that the Road Warriors putting in the hard work in practice, but they just fail to bring their intensity to the games.

“We’re serious in practice and we perform well there. Every shot we make goes in. But we can’t bring those to the games. Maybe, it’s really a mental thing.”
NLEX faces Star next Friday.
