After reviving his career with Tanduay this past 2017 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup, Mark Cruz gets another shot in the PBA as Blackwater plucked him from the free agent pool on Wednesday.

The diminutive guard from Letran impressed in his stint with the Rhum Masters, averaging 16.1 points, a league-best 4.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds.

The 5-foot-5 playmaker played his lone PBA season with Star and Phoenix last year before getting left unsigned in the offseason.

Cruz will join the Blackwater backcourt which features veteran Denok Miranda, upstarts Nard Pinto, Roi Sumang, and Ael Banal.
