TAIPEI—Juvic Pagunsan shot another 5-under-par 66 Friday and moved up to third place before darkness suspended second-round play in the $6-million Bayclays Singapore Open at the Sentosa Golf Club.
Pagunsan trailed James Morrison of England by two shots and Eduardo Molinari of Italy by one with his 10-under 132 after 36 holes in Asia’s richest national championship, which stakes a champion’s purse of $1 million.
Morrison added a 68 to his opening 62 for a 130 aggregate while Molinari, who also started with a 62, was 2 under and 11 under overall with eight holes to play in his round.
The round was marred by a weather delay of close to three hours. The stranded players will resume play at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
Among those who failed to finish were Elmer Salvador and Jay Bayron with both Filipinos enjoying good rounds.
Salvador, who matched par 71 in the first round, was 5-under after 11 holes while Bayron, after a 69, was 2 under with eight to play.
Angelo Que rallied with a 68 to finish at 138, Mars Pucay (71-70) stood at 141 while Antonio Lascuna was a prospective 36-hole casualty at 143 (69-74).
