Emma Watson captivated the hearts of many as she brought Disney princess Belle to life in the recently released “Beauty and the Beast” live-action film.
Her undeniable beauty has even smitten Filipino mixed martial artist Harold Banario, who used her as an inspiration in his latest work of art.
The bantamweight fighter, who last fought in the Pacific Extreme Combat (PXC) in 2015, shared a couple of photos on his Instagram account recently, showcasing his painting inspired by the British actress. But instead of the hulking beast as her dance partner, Banario inserted himself in the fray, clad in full Igorot attire.

In a report from local MMA website Dojo Drifter, the Baguio native and self-taught painter described his amazing piece.
“I did that portrayal of war and love, inspired by the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ [movie], as I admire the story and the characters, especially of Emma Watson as Belle,” he told the news outlet. “I think she has that character that even if she’s big star, she’s still humble, and her involvement [in the] UN makes me look up to her. That made me do that painting. Also my self-portrait symbolizes war and culture, because Igorots are known to be warriors,” he added. It took him roughly three weeks to finish the piece, the report said.
Banario, whose brothers Honorio and Dario also fight professionally, holds a 4-1 mixed martial arts record.
