Olympic chief Jose “Peping” Cojuangco Jr. might be serving his last term as president of the Philippine Olympic Committee.

The POC is preparing the field for a younger generation of leaders as it moves to approve the age cap of top officials to 70 years old.

”If you ask me, I’d rather set the age limit at 65 years old,” said POC first vice president Joey Romasanta.

The proposed amendment will be tackled in the next board meeting.

The 82-year-old Cojuangco could lead a council of elders willing to serve the POC in an advisory capacity.
