Either Wesley So or Alexander Onischuk will go home with the 2017 crown.

So and Onischuk wound up tied at 7.0 points following draws with Daniel Naroditsky and Gata Kamsky, respectively, in the 11th and final round of the US Championships in St. Louis, Missouri, on Sunday.

The top-ranked and Cavite-born So and No. 6 Onischuk are disputing the title and the $50,000 that goes with it via playoff going on at press time.  —ROY LUARCA
