The current Detroit Pistons squad played its final game at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Monday (Tuesday in Manila), and it’s only fitting they honor the legends that donned the same jerseys before them.
After calling ‘The Palace’ home for the past 29 years, the team—which has been officially eliminated from playoff contention—will relocate to the Little Caesars Arena in midtown Detroit next season.
To commemorate the franchise’s previous glory, the team celebrated their impending move by inviting the franchise’s most accomplished players, during their game against the visiting Washington Wizards.
Among those in attendance were figures of Pistons’ “Bad Boyz” era—including Isiah Thomas, John Salley, Rick Mahorn and Dennis Rodman.

Present as well were the early 2000’s formidable group of Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince.
The Palace has been home to two championship teams, the “Bad Boyz” squad in 1989 and 1990, and the Billups-led team in 2004. JB
