Newcomer Flying V scored a coup with the marquee signing of La Salle stud Jeron Teng for the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
Sources close to the situation confirmed that the 23-year-old forward is set to lead the Thunder this upcoming conference.
Teng averaged a league-best 23.2 points on top of 8.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists in 37.9 minutes this past conference with AMA Online Education.
He was a leading contender for the Conference Most Valuable Player plum in this past Aspirants’ Cup, but failed to secure the trophy after the Titans got booted in the quarterfinals.
With Flying V, Teng will be reuniting with coach Eric Altamirano, who was his mentor back in the 2009 Philippine national under-18 team.
