Seventeen players were on hand for the start of Gilas Pilipinas’ daily practices Monday at Kerry Sports Manila in Taguig.

Veterans Calvin Abueva and Jayson Castro led the squad, together with Raymond Almazan, Troy Rosario, and Allein Maliksi.

Rookies Matthew Wright, Roger Pogoy, Ed Daquioag, Jonathan Grey, Mike Tolomia, and Carl Bryan Cruz were also present, together with youthful big men Norbert Torres, Bradwyn Guinto, and Fonso Gotladera.

Almond Vosotros is also present for the late afternoon practice.

LA Revilla, Arnold Van Opstal, and injured Mac Belo were present but sat on the sidelines for the day.

Terrence Romeo and Von Pessumal came in late after coming from GlobalPort’s afternoon practice at Gatorade Hoops Center in Shaw.

This was the first day of the national team’s daily sessions in anticipation for the 2017 Seaba Championships here in Manila on May 12 to 18.
