Embattled veteran PBA player Gary David on Wednesday opened up about his personal life involving his relationship with his estranged wife Jenny Rose.

According to a report, David is facing charges of Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act filed by Jenny Rose and one of the couple’s four daughters on April 4 before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.

The 38-year-old David said he hasn’t received any subpoena yet and added he has already filed for annulment.

(I can’t talk about it because I haven’t received a subpoena from the judge. But in case it has already been filed yet, we’re just going to see each other in court.)

(We don’t know yet if it’s true but what’s real is I already filed for annulment and she has already received that and that’s what we’re going to deal with in court. So that the truth about the embarrassment she has caused will come out.)

David stressed he won’t let the issue get in the way of his playing career.

He was one of the few bright spots for the Floodbuster in a 109-80 defeat with 13 points and three rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench.

Hindi nila makikitang paektado ako,” he said.

(Ever since, whatever my problem is, I don’t let it affect my job. This is the source of my livelihood and my happiness that’s why I’m setting it aside every time I play or even in practice. They won’t see me affected.)
