This season’s MVP and other top performers will be named during the awarding ceremony an hour before Game 2 unfolds.

This year’s finals mark the sixth straight time the Lady Spikers and Lady Eagles will dispute the coveted crown.

La Salle leads the head-to-head finals match-ups with Ateneo, 3-2, after regaining the title last season in three games.

Ateneo, which holds the No. 1 seed, is primed for redemption after sweeping La Salle in the elimination round.

Both squads needed only a game to dispose of their respective semifinals foes.

The Lady Eagles ousted No. 4 Far Eastern University in four sets, 25-22, 25-10, 16-25, 26-24, on Sunday a day after the Lady Spikers scored a 25-14, 25-20, 24-26, 25-13 win to boot out No. 3 University of Santo Tomas.
