NBA: Hornets to don Jordan brand logos on jerseys next season
The 2017-2018 season marks the end of an era for the National Basketball Association (NBA) and its longtime apparel partnership with sporting giant Adidas. Instead, the league be will pushing through with its eight-year contract with Nike.
But unlike the majority of the teams which will be sporting the iconic “swoosh” on their respective jerseys, the Charlotte Hornets will feature the “Jumpan” logo—based on the likeness of arguably the game’s all-time great and current team owner Michael Jordan.
Article continues after this advertisementThe famed Jordan Brand, which produces the exclusive line of Air Jordan sneakers, is an affiliate of Nike.
The Charlotte Hornets blog, Swarm and Sting uploaded an image of how the uniforms might look next season.

Being the only team in the league to sport the heralded logo is just one of the perks of having “His Airness” as the boss.
The team, which missed out on post-season play this season, also confirmed that the Hornets shop will stock merchandise sponsored by Jordan Brand together with the team’s logo.
