LAS VEGAS – Timothy Bradley hammered Joel Casamayor who threw in the towel at the end of the eighth round of their fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada Saturday night (Sunday in Manila).

Bradley’s TKO victory set up the main event featuring Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao against Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez whose supporters have started chanting his name.

The blockbuster bout is the third meeting of the two that began in 2004, with the match ending in a draw. Their second meeting in 2007 was a split decision for Pacquiao.

The third, described as “A fight for the ages”, will either be vindication for the Filipino champion or sweet revenge for the Mexican.
