‘Clash of Heroes’ moved to May 15 to accommodate UAAP finals

The exhibition games of the volleyball national team pools dubbed as “Clash of Heroes” has been moved to May 15 to allow the players from Ateneo and La Salle to prioritize the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball Finals.

Larong Volleyball ng Pilipinas, Inc. and the PSC-POC Media Group originally set the play date on April 28, but this will coincide with the Asean Summit and will happen days before the first game of the UAAP finals.

There are several players from finalists La Salle and Ateneo who are also competing for a slot in the 18-woman national roster that will compete in the 29th Southeast Asian Games.

Included in the national pool are Kim Fajardo, who played in the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship, PSL Finals MVP Dawn Macandili, and defending UAAP Finals MVP Kim Kianna Dy all banner the Lady Spikers

Ateneo’s Kat Tolentino and Maddie Madayag are also in the pool and are expected to play in the exhibition game.

Clash of Heroes will still be played at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Clash of Heroes will not only showcase the women’s talent, but also the men’s as well with NCAA MVP Johnvic De Guzman, Peter Torres, Ran Abdilla, and Mark Alfafara leading the squad.

Tickets for the game are still available at the media center of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex with upper box seats priced at P100 and lower box seats at P200.
