LUCENA — Help is on the way.

Andray Blatche is now on his way to Manila to beef up Gilas Pilipinas for the upcoming 2017 Seaba Championships in May.

In his Twitter account @drayblatche, the Syracuse native expressed his excitement to once again don the national team colors and represent the country in the international stage.

“Mga Kababayan! I am so excited to be back and win for my fellow Pinoys. Please come and see us all play at SEABA. Laban! Puso!,” he tweeted.

Blatche is set to arrive early next week and will immediately join Gilas’ daily training in the buildup for the regional tiff.

The 30-year-old is coming off a triumphant stint with Xinjiang Flying Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association as he led the squad to a championship romp over Guangdong Southern Tigers.

The Philippines is seeking to reaffirm its position as the top team in Southeast Asia, and in the process, earn a spot in the 2017 Fiba Asia Cup, slated in Lebanon in August.
