Fajardo, Blatche lead Gilas Seaba 12; 3 rookies make it

LUCENA—Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes bared his final roster for the upcoming 2017 Seaba Championships in May on Friday after the Lucena leg of the 2017 PBA All-Star Week at Quezon Convention Center here.

Leading the list are naturalized center Andray Blatche and veterans June Mar Fajardo, Jayson Castro, Calvin Abueva, Terrence Romeo, Japeth Aguilar, and Troy Rosario.

Also making their debut with the national team are Raymond Almazan and Allein Maliksi.

Completing the list are rookies Matthew Wright, Jio Jalalon, and Roger Pogoy.

“This lineup is built on flexibility and versatility and that gives you an idea on what kind of a team we’re building. It’s a good mix of rookies and veterans,” said Reyes.

The team will now be pulled out from their respective mother ballclubs in preparation for the regional tournament set on May 12 to 18.
