The retired boxer-turned-trainer, as per MMAFighting, questioned the equally brash McGregor’s boxing skills and even suggested that he wouldn’t fare any better against a man his age.

“He (McGregor) ain’t nothing but talk! I told them people on the TV already, forget about Floyd. Let’s throw Floyd to the side,” the elder Mayweather said.

The enigmatic pair, however, reportedly patched things up in 2013, and Floyd Sr. has been vocal about training his son if the crossover match ever materializes.

Still, the Mayweather patriarch continued to downplay any skills that his son’s counterpart possesses.

“I’m telling you right now, he (McGregor) can do all the stuff he want to do but this guy don’t know nothing about how to get your body right and the amount of time and everything you’ve got to do, he don’t know nothing about that,” he said.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
