Imposing its will early, Global FC came away with a 3-1 victory over Boeungket Angkor to win Group F of the 2017 AFC Cup group stages Wednesday at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Paul Mulders scored the opener in the 12th minute to put the Philippines Football League side on its way to a fifth win in six matches.

It didn’t take long before Pika Minegishi doubled the lead with a clinical finish inside the box off an assist from Mulders.

The Cambodian side, though, pulled one after the halftime break as Seth Rosib scored on a header off of a cross from the right flank from Maycon Calijuri in the 50th minute.

Trinidad and Tobago forward Darryl Roberts sealed the victory with a goal in the 94th minute as Global atoned for its 2015 campaign where it failed to reach the knockout stage.

Global topped Group F with 15 points with Johor Dairul Tazim ending up at second with 13 points after a 3-1 win over Tampines.

Global will face Singaporean club Home United in the zonal semifinals, while Ceres Negros takes on JDT.
