Josh Urbiztondo has returned to the PBA, reuniting with GlobalPort on Thursday.
The Batang Pier re-signed the veteran sniper after he spent the past two months with the Singapore Slingers in the ASEAN Basketball League, helping the squad in its runner-up finish this past season.
Urbiztondo averaged 1.5 points on a 30.0-percent shooting from threes in 6.8 minutes with GlobalPort last conference.
This time, the 34-year-old is expected to figure on a bigger role with Terrence Romeo playing with Gilas Pilipinas for the 2017 Seaba Championships in May.
Mick Pennisi has been relegated to the Batang Pier’s reserve list in lieu of Urbiztondo.
GlobalPort (2-5) plays Phoenix on Friday to continue its quest this 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup. /atm
