Cafe France will be without a familiar face when it competes this upcoming 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.

Long time coach Egay Macaraya will take a lesser role with the Bakers, leaving the reins to his deputy coach Yong Garcia.

The affable mentor shared the news while also baring that Cafe France will parade a team which will feature the core of the Centro Escolar University Scorpions.

Rod Ebondo, Aaron Jeruta, and JK Casino will carry the Bakers this conference, after losing the services of Paul Desiderio, Michael Calisaan, and Jeepy Faundo, all of whom will be focusing on their respective schools’ campaign this collegiate season.

Though he won’t be manning the sidelines this conference, Macaraya shared that he’ll still be present at the Cafe France games serving as the team’s consultant.

Macaraya is currently preparing San Sebastian for its campaign this NCAA Season 93, where the Golden Stags will serve as the hosts.
