Rondina, Pons highlight Petron march to beach volleyball semifinals

Petron sent its two teams to the semifinals Saturday in the Belo-Philippine Superliga (PSL) Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup at The Sands in Mall of Asia.

Cherry Rondina and Bernandeth Pons continued their winning ways for Petron Sprint 4T, sideswiping Mylene Paat and Janine Marciano of Cignal B, 21-11, 21-9, in the quarterfinals.

Ces Molina and Bang Pineda later on powered Petron XCS to a 20-22, 21-14, 15-13, victory over Cocolife led by Abie Nuval and Wensh Tiu.

They will take on the winners of the late quarterfinal matches still going on at press time. —MARC ANTHONY REYES
