Never one to hold his tongue regarding issues in and out of the league, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green recently expressed his disdain for Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk.
In a recent episode of his Dray Day podcast, this year’s Defensive Player of the Year frontrunner had some harsh words for the 26-year-old pony-tailed Canadian, following his most recent altercation with Washington Wizards forward Kelly Oubre Jr.

“Kelly Olynyk is a dirty player, man,” Green said, as relayed by Jordan Heck of Sporting News.
“He’s dirty. Dirty player, man. I don’t respect guys like that. I mean, I know he’s not like the greatest basketball player of all time, so maybe you feel like you got to like do that, but you don’t like – just dirty. Like I don’t respect that man, he dirty.”
Olynyk’s reputation as an overly physical competitor first came to light in the 2015 playoffs, where he seemingly yanked Kevin Love’s shoulder, causing him to miss the rest of the post season.
“It’s a big difference between knowing all the trick because all the tricks ain’t doing stuff to hurt people,” Green added.
“Like come on, he really yanked this [Love’s] shoulder out of place. I don’t roll with that man, dude dirty. This dude be out there trying to hurt people man, I don’t rock with bruh like that.”
Ironically, Green has also been labeled the same by fans and players alike, for his “kicking antics” on the hardwood.
Green has had a history of hitting opposing players to the groin, highlighted during last year’s finals, when he got suspended in Game 5 for hitting LeBron James below the belt. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
