A year of residency really helps, and Navarro said that he’s slowly getting his groove back, thanks to no less than coach Egay Macaraya and his staff.
“I’m still adjusting, but with my teammates and coaches’ help, I’m adapting,” said the La Salle transferee.

“I believe that I still need to improve my conditioning. I’m still at 70 to 80 percent, but I think I can eventually achieve that game weight,” he said.
And Macaraya expressed confidence with Navarro going forward as San Sebastian continues its preparation for the collegiate season.
“We have no problem with Renzo because he’s a kid from Baste,” said Macaraya. “The only thing is that he has to be fit for our running game. He admits that he’s still having difficulties going back in this kind of competition, that’s why we’re playing him in every league we join in so that come the NCAA, he’ll get used to it already.”
