Indonesia pummels Singapore to open Seaba

Indonesia whipped Singapore, 71-50, to open the 2017 Seaba Championship Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Mario Wuysang topped the Indonesians with 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists as their side set the tone early and ran to an 18-3 first quarter lead.

Christian Sitepu chipped in 15 markers, six boards and three dimes, while Sandy Kurniawan had 11 points and three rebounds.

Indonesia further put its foot on the gas pedal, extending the lead to 37, 48-11, with a three-pointer from Abraham Grahita with 8:05 left in the third.

Singapore still tried to crawl back, trimming the lead to 16 points, 66-50, but it was too little too late as the Indons cruised to the opening day win.

Larry Liew paced Singapore with 11 points, while Wong Wei Long added 10 markers, five rebounds and four assists in the losing effort. IDL
