Vietnam routs Myanmar for first win in Seaba

Vietnam chalked one in the win column after a 77-44 blowout over Myanmar Sunday in the 2017 Seaba Championship at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Bouncing back from their 76-49 loss to Thailand on Saturday, the Vietnamese leaned on Nguyen Van Hung as he carried the load with 22 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists.

Tran Vu Linh chipped in 18 markers, three boards, and three dimes, while Le Phuoc Thang registered a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Dang Thai Hung had 10 markers and 10 boards for Vietnam.

Vietnam overwhelmed Myanmar with its size, dominating the rebounding department, 53-35, which led to its blistering 59 percent shooting.

Still, the Burmese are slowly becoming fan favorites in the tournament, with Aung Wana dazzling the crowd with his reverse lay-ups en route to a 21 points and four rebounds. Myanmar fell to 0-2.
