Andakara Dhyaksa fired a game-high 19 points and five assists, while Sandy Kurniawan shot 6-of-10 from threes to wind up with 18 markers for Indonesia, which gained solo leadership with a 4-0 record and a half-game lead over idle Philippines in the standings.
Difta Pritama added 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists, while Kevin Sitorus notched a double-double with 10 markers and 11 boards for the Indonesians.
Mario Wuysang fueled Indonesia’s fiery start to finish with seven points, 10 assists, and five rebounds in just three quarters as he triggered the early assault for Indonesia.
Hitting their shots early, the Indonesians jumped to a 41-19 advantage in the first half and extended the lead to 29, 61-32, with 2:43 to play in the third period.
Trieu Han Minh led Vietnam (1-2) with 12 points, three assists, and two rebounds, while Le Ngoc Tu also got 12 in the loss.
