Global-Cebu faces home united XI
Global-Cebu hopes to build an early advantage when it battles Home United of Singapore in the first leg of their AFC Cup Asean zonal semifinal tie at Rizal Memorial Stadium on Tuesday.
With captain Misagh Bahadoran back from a knee injury, Global looks to make its home field edge count with Home United hosting the second leg on May 30.
Aggregate score from the two legs will determine the winner of the tie, which will face the survivor of the other semifinal clash pitting another Philippines Football League club, Ceres Negros and Johor Darul Ta’zim of Malaysia.
The first leg of the Ceres-JDT clash is set Wednesday at Larkin Stadium in Johor, Malaysia.
