Roach trains Pacquiao
Manny Pacquiao’s training shifted to a higher gear Monday following the arrival of chief trainer Freddie Roach from Los Angeles.
The Fighting Senator, preparing for his defense of the World Boxing Organization welterweight crown against Jeff Horn on July 2 in Brisbane, Australia, worked the mitts with Roach at the Elorde Gym near SM Mall of Asia.
While Roach was pleased with Pacquiao’s physical condition, the Hall of Fame trainer cautioned that there was still more work to be done as Horn’s a dangerous opponent.

Roach, however, is confident Pacquiao will prevail owing to his speed, experience and ring ability.
With Roach around, Pacquiao, who started light training on May 8, feels upbeat and ready for the tougher grind ahead.
Roach was accompanied by strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune.
