Even more good news has come for the smooth-stroking shooting guard, as his baby daughter Dakota has been discharged from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), after a gruelling five-month stay.
The 31-year-old guard shared the terrific news on his Instagram account, with a beautiful photo of him and his wife Jewel, leaving the Hillcrest Hospital in Ohio with a stroller in tow.
“We walked in together, we walked out together!” the one-time NBA champion captioned his post.
According to Yahoo News, Dakota was born last January—five months before her scheduled birth. At the time of her delivery, the youngster only weighed a staggering one pound and was on life support for a month.
Smith was able to hold her youngest daughter last February, as she was finally able to breathe without tubes, 78 days after her birth.
The couple, meanwhile, also has two older daughters named Demi and Peyton.
