The Golden State Warriors have dominated the 2017 NBA playoffs so far, going undefeated in their first 12 games.
Even more impressive, the team has been doing it without the aid of their sideline head honcho, Steve Kerr, for much of the post season.
Last year’s NBA Coach of the Year exited the post-season picture last month, after undergoing a spinal leak surgery.
But despite the team’s long lay off—as they are currently awaiting the winner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics series—Kerr remains uncertain if he will be able to coach the team, according to ESPN’s Marc Spears.
“Just day by day,” he told the news outlet, when asked about his status for the team’s final series.
Since his hiatus from the team during their round series against the Portland Trail Blazers, assistant coach Mike Brown has taken over the reigns in Golden State.
The newly-crowned Western Conference champions, meanwhile, are not totally new to the idea, as Kerr also sat out the first 43 games of last season due to a back injury, and was aided by then assistant coach, Luke Walton. Khristian Ibarrola/JB
