Philippine Air Force has gotten out of turbulent winds and managed to score an upset win over Pocari Sweat in five sets, 25-19, 24-26, 25-27, 25-21, 15-6, in the Premier Volleyball League Thursday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Lady Warriors, who slipped to 6-4, played without the injured Myla Pablo and Edina Selimovic.

Meanwhile, the Lady Jet Spikers improved to 2-8 but are still at the bottom behind fifth seed Creamline that holds a 3-6 record.

“I just told my team to continue what we’ve been doing in practice because we’ve been losing all our games lately,” said PAF head coach Jasper Jimenez.

PAF relied on its two-pronged offense of Patcharee Saengmuang and skipper Joy Cases, who had 27 and 21 points, respectively while also getting ample support from Jocemer Tapic and Iari Yongco who combined for 23 points.

Michelle Strizak carrid the Lady Warriors with a league-record 40 points but she got little support from her teammates with Jeanette Panaga the closest to the mark with eight points.
