The first-ever Red Bull Reign tournament in the Philippines has just crowned its champions.

The Bull Squad, led by Fil-Canadians Clay Crellin and Glenn Gravengard, ruled the Red Bull 3-on-3 tournament on Saturday to earn a ticket to the World Finals in Washington DC that will be held later in the year.

The half brothers carried the Bull Squad in the final round including the championship game where they edged an all-Filipino side in Sta. Rosa, 27-20, to capture the title.

“We took advantage of the fact that we’re bigger than them so we just used our size,” said the 6-foot-1 Gravengard.

The Bull Squad, which bested the Willie Miller-led G3 to make the finals due to superior quotient, flaunted a mean inside and out game with both Gravengard and the 6-foot-4 Crellin able to create shots for themselves whether it’s attacking the basket or pulling up from deep or in the low block.

“We were shooting threes really well and scoring in the post really well too,” Gravengard, who also helped lock down Sta. Rosa’s sharpshooting guard.

The Bull Squad, which also drew contributions from Nigerian Obinna Ezeike and reserve Kitt Balmori, topped seven other finalists.

“It’s so amazing. We’re actually representing our country in the world stage,” Crellin said.

The event drew a packed crowd at Nagtahan Bridge court.

High-flyer David Carlos put on a show, winning the slam dunk contest with a one-handed windmill over a motorcycle and leaping over two people in his final dunk.
