UFC star a possible Pacquiao foe

If Manny Pacquiao hurdles the challenge of Australian Jeff Horn on July 2, he’ll have not one but a line of possible opponents waiting.

World champions Terence Crawford, Keith Thurman and Errol Spence have called out the eight-division world champion who’ll be dangling his WBO welterweight crown against Horn in Brisbane.

Bob Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, then blurted out an intriguing name: Conor McGregor.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship superstar has signed a juicy contract to fight retired Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Up to now, however, the unbeaten Mayweather has yet to respond, prompting Arum to offer Pacquiao as a substitute foe.

“If McGregor is still looking for an opponent, Manny Pacquiao is there,” Arum told website TMZ. —ROY LUARCA
