Since eclipsing the Chicago Bulls’ regular season record of 72 wins last year but failing to win the NBA title, the Golden State Warriors have received a lot of criticism from fans and former players alike.

During a recent appearance on ESPN’s “The Jump,” one of the pivotal members of the legendary Bulls squad, Scottie Pippen, spoke his mind regarding the Warriors’ premier guard and two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry.

Speaking to sports journalist Rachel Nichols and retired players Byron Scott and Paul Pierce, the 51-year-old six-time NBA Champion criticized the Bay Area sharpshooter.

“I think we also have to look at it now that he’s not the best player on either team, even though he’s a two-time MVP. Right now he’s not the best player on his team,” Pippen candidly said, as relayed by CBS Sports.

His sentiments came after the arrival of another former MVP, Kevin Durant, who joined the already stacked Warriors’ line-up this off-season.

“He’s not a dominant player. He’s a great player and the things that he does on the basketball court forces Cleveland to have to do things to get the ball out of his hands, but in terms of what LeBron and KD can do those guys can dominate you in all areas of the game,” he added.

Curry’s overall statistical production has indeed dipped a bit since partnering with Durant, but continues to be one of the deadliest shooters, if not the deadliest, in the game today.
