Pauline del Rosario rallied to salvage a 1-under 73 and grab the early lead in the ICTSI Orchard Ladies Invitational at Orchard’s Player course in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Wednesday.
The former Philippine Ladies Open champion birdied holes 16 and 18 to tally a 36-37 and overtake rookie Thai Pannapa Polnamin, reigning titlist Chihiro Ikeda, and former LPGT leg winner Sarah Ababa. Polnamin, Ikeda and Ababa shot 74s.
Ababa and Polnamin set the pace at 1-under after No. 12, but lost steam with three bogeys each in their next four holes.
Apple Fudolin led at 1-under after 10 holes before four bogeys pulled her down to a 75. Thai Jaruporn Palakawong Na Ayutthaya carded a 76 while amateur Sam Bruce fired a 77. —ROY LUARCA
