NBA: Wall believes Kentucky prospect Fox better than Ball, Fultz

Before dazzling Washington fans with his on-court “wizardry,” John Wall was running the show for the Kentucky Wildcats in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Division 1 basketball.

Almost seven years since he left the esteemed institution, Wall has remained a Wildcat at heart, and recently had high praises for another emerging Kentucky prospect.

With the 2017 NBA Draft fast approaching, two prospect guards have filled the headlines, in the persons of Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball.

But according to the four-time NBA All-Star, people shouldn’t sleep on the 19-year-old De’Aaron Fox.

“A lot of people say it’s bias because he’s from Kentucky, but I think De’Aaron Fox might end up being the best point guard out of that class,” Wall told CSN Mid Atlantic’s Chris Miller.

Due to his blistering speed, wiry frame and athletic prowess, Fox has often been compared to his fellow Kentucky alum.

“He reminds me of myself a lot, just a lefty,” Wall said of their similarities.

But much like what Wall did, Fox joins the pros with a questionable and inconsistent jump shot.

Wall, however, managed to refine his shooting over the course of his career, something that Fox could emulate.

Meanwhile, the upstart youngster is coming off his one-and-done career with the Wildcats with averages of 16.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists. He also recently signed a shoe deal with sporting giant Nike.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
