Cignal, Sta. Lucia all pumped up

Cignal and Sta. Lucia will have reason to be optimistic when the Philippine Superliga (PSL) All-Filipino Conference opens on Tuesday at FilOil Flying V Centre.

Fresh from a training camp in Japan, the HD Spikers are on a high after winning the title in the Invitational Conference.

Cignal coach George Pascua’s confidence comes from his intact roster: The core of the national team, Rachel Anne Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga will rejoin stalwarts Honey Royse Tubino, Mylene Paat and Steph Mercado.

Meanwhile, after taking a one-conference leave of absence, seasoned mentor Sammy Acaylar will be back to guide the young Sta. Lucia squad to glory.
