George Pascua is back at his old stomping grounds at Far Eastern University as he replaces Shaq delos Santos as the head coach of the Lady Tamaraws.

FEU athletics director Mark Molina said Sunday delos Santos expressed his desire to focus on his job as the head coach of Petron in the Philippine Super Liga, paving the way for Pascua’s return to FEU.

“That’s one of the things that came up during the exit interviews,” Molina said after FEU’s 72-53 win over Adamson University in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.

Molina added that delos Santos, who became the Lady Tamaraws head coach in 2013, will “still be with FEU in some capacity.”

“He’s been very professional about it and he will hopefully still be part of the program. He will always be part of FEU.

Pascua was a former player for FEU’s men’s volleyball team and he also coached the Tamaraws to four UAAP titles with the last one coming in 2012.

Legendary Lady Tamaraw Rachel Daquis and last year’s skipper Remy Palma have been contacted to be part of Pascua’s coaching staff joining Tamaraws head coach Rey Diaz.
