Cignal HD easily dispatched Zark’s Burger, 107-69, to score its second win in the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Monday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Andreas Cahilig took advantage of the blowout, unleashing 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists to topscore for the Hawkeyes.

Raymar Jose set the tone for the all-out assault with 12 markers and 17 boards, while Jason Perkins and Davon Potts both nabbed 10 in the game to improve Cignal’s standing to 2-1.

The Hawkeyes raced to a 10-2 lead and never looked back, pouncing on the hapless Jawbreakers as they extended the lead to as high as 43, 94-51, with a Dan Sara jumper with 6:10 remaining in the payoff period.

Though scoring another rout, coach Boyet Fernandez said that the game should serve as a lesson for Cignal moving forward.

“We just have to be ready. We’re falling to a lot of bad behaviors that we shouldn’t do. Our games are back-to-back and we’re playing tougher teams after this. We should be wiser in the coming games,” he said.

Robby Celiz dropped 20 points despite his 5-of-14 shooting for Zark’s, while also contributing five rebounds and five assists.

Jerome Ferrer chipped in 12 markers and 10 boards, while RR de Leon had 12 points and five rebounds in the second straight defeat for the Jawbreakers.
