LeBron James has three signature lines with Nike, but in preparation for Cleveland’s third game against Golden State in the NBA Finals, the King donned a pair outside of his name.
The four-time MVP decided to sport a pair of Kobe 11 EM “Barcelona” during the Cavaliers’ practice at Quicken Loans Arena a day before Game 3 and with Cleveland down 0-2 in the series.
This, though, wasn’t the first time The King rocked a pair of his older contemporary.
In fact, James has worn Bryant’s signature shoes several times already.
Back in February of 2016, James rocked a pair of Kobe 11 Black History Months during the Cavaliers’ pregame shootaround before their game against Charlotte.
Then James paid tribute to the Mamba when he wore a pair of Kobe 11 Fade to Black in the Cavaliers’ last regular season game in 2016.
James’ selection of his Fade to Black, though, is almost calculated as teammates Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love also wore their own pair.
Other Nike athletes that time also wore their own pair of Kobe 11 Fade to Black like Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and Dallas Wings point guard Skylar Diggins.
