Kevin Alas and Baser Amer are the two new entries to the Gilas Pilipinas pool.
Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes announced his decision on Friday as he replaces pool members Bradwyn Guinto and Jonathan Grey.
Guinto and Grey were earlier tapped to be part of the 27-man national team pool, and even saw action in the three-leg 2017 PBA All-Star Week games, where the national team faced off against PBA All-Stars from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

However, the two found themselves traded to GlobalPort, creating a league imbalance which put four pool members in the Batang Pier camp, together with Terrence Romeo and cadet Von Pessumal, while leaving NLEX and Meralco without a second representative to the pool.
Now, Reyes can move on and continue his buildup for the upcoming 2017 Fiba Asia Cup and the 2017 Southeast Asian Games with this rejigged pool.
Amer has been averaging 15.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists this past conference, while Alas has racked 9.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists.
