MANILA, Philippines—RnW Pacific Pipes climbed out of a double-digit hole to stun Café France, 80-76, Monday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The Steelmasters, who notched their second win in a row after losing their first assignment, outscored the Bakers, 29-13, in the final quarter.
Jordan Sanvictores had his way in the clutch as he scored six unanswered points that gave RnW the upperhand, 79-76, with 21.7 seconds remaining.
RnW’s offense got going even as its defense tightened up down the stretch that erased a 51-63 deficit built by Café France at the end of the third period.
