San Beda brandished its embarrassment of riches anew and whipped Letran, 75-63 to remain unbeaten in the 2017 Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup Sunday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Robert Bolick took matters into his own hands, unleashing 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists to help the Red Lions clinch a seat in the quarterfinals with a 6-0 record.

“Robert really wanted to win and he came in and changed the tempo of the game,” said coach Boyet Fernandez.

AC Soberano chimed in 10 markers on a 2-of-5 shooting from threes, alongside four boards, while Arnaud Noah had nine points in the win.

After the Knights trimmed the deficit to just two, 49-47, San Beda went on a 10-0 blast to finish the third period and grab the 59-47 edge.

Bolick and Jomari Presbitero put on the finishing touches as the Red Lions downed their fierce rivals.

Jerrick Balanza carried Letran (1-6) with 17 points and two rebounds, while Bong Quinto added 11 markers and four boards in the loss.

Knights coach Jeff Napa missed the services of Rey Nambatac for the third straight game, as the senior guard continued his recovery from a hyperextended left knee.
