PNP, AFP clinch semis berths

Philippine National Police picked up a third win in four games after beating Department of Justice, 88-82, to clinch a semifinal berth in the UNTV Executive Face-Off tournament held over the weekend at Pasig City Sports Center.

Supt. Anthony Padua led the PNP Responders with 32 points, while Dexter Vitug added 28 points.

PNP stayed on top with Armed Forces of the Philippines, which also secured a semifinal slot in a dominant win against Judiciary, 82-68.

Army Col. Oliver Vesliño led AFP with 16 points, while Gen. Mel Feliciano and Col. William Gonzales combined for 27 points.

Senate kept its bid alive after eliminating Bureau of Customs, 88-67, behind Lino Ong, Sen. Sonny Angara and Warren Tan, and tied DOJ and Judiciary at 2-2. —KRISTOFER PURNELL, CARLO ANOLIN
