Russell Westbrook just won the Most Valuable Player Award; but it’s not the Maurice Podoloff Trophy.

Shaquille O’Neal’s hit NBA on TNT segment “Shaqtin’ a Fool” once again celebrated the “best of the worst” and awarded the feisty Oklahoma City Thunder guard as this year’s “king of bloopers.”

He edged out Boston Celtics’ Marcus Smart, Golden State Warriors’ Zaza Pachulia and the Atlanta Hawks’ Dwight Howard for the “not-so-prestigious” award.

FEATURED STORIES

The 28-year-old Westbrook—who had an amazing season becoming the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple double—was guilty of committing several in-game blunders this year.

Perhaps his most noteworthy gaffe was when he blatantly traveled with the ball during an inbounds play against the Warriors last January.

But despite bagging Shaq’s annual comical award, Westbrook remains as the front runner for this year’s Kia NBA MVP Award, alongside last year’s Shaqtin’ MVP James Harden.

If that happens, he will be the first player to be named league MVP and Shaqtin’ MVP at the same year. The 2017 NBA Awards will be handed out on June 26.  Khristian Ibarrola  /ra
