/ 02:16 AM June 15, 2017

BaliPure and Pocari Sweat have proven their worth as championship contenders. On Thursday, they get to prove which team wants it more than the other.

Game 3 of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference will be at 6 p.m. with the Water Defenders and Lady Warriors engaging once and for all for the title at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

BaliPure pulled off a thrilling 25-15, 26-24, 24-26, 24-26, 15-13 victory in Tuesday’s Game 2 that saw teams trading matchpoints in a frenetic championship-caliber action.

“We just have to believe in ourselves, even when we are playing bad we are still in the match. Confidence will be the key,” said BaliPure coach Roger Gorayeb.

Pocari Sweat, which won Game 1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 26-24), is looking for a third straight conference title as it bids to stamp its class in the league it joined just last season.

The Lady Warriors looked bent on finishing the series Tuesay when they raced, twice, from match point down through the heroics of imports Krystal Rivers, Michelle Strizak and local stars Myla Pablo and Jessey de Leon.

But BaliPure won’t be lacking in firepower with homegrown star Grethcel Soltones and imports Jennifer Keddy and Jaroensri Bualee in the fold.
