Fil-Am fan who asked Klay Thompson to sign toaster invited to Dubs’ victory parade

Fans nowadays are getting more creative when it comes to having memorabilia signed by their favorite athletes.

Golden State Warriors super-fan Ronnie Reyes raised that bar up a notch, when he asked Klay Thompson to sign a toaster last March.

The Filipino-American’s gesture quickly moved from an oddity to “lucky charm” of some sort, as  the Dubs went on a 31-2 rampage since then, en route to another NBA championship.

Thompson’s bewildered expression upon signing the kitchen appliance grew viral as well and spawned several memes online.

Seems like the dead-eye shooter hasn’t forgotten about Reyes, as he recently invited the “Toaster Guy” to attend the Warriors’ championship parade.

“Still can’t believe it. @KlayThompson legit invited me to the parade last night. All because of a toaster,” Reyes confirmed on Twitter, along with the hashtag #DubNation.

As expected, Reyes promised to bring along his trusty toaster in Oakland on Thursday (Friday in Manila). Khristian Ibarrola /ra
