Michelle Strizak had one marching order when she became part of the Pocari Sweat organization, and that was to lead the Lady Warriors to the championship in the Premier Volleyball League Reinfored Conference.
“When I got hired it was like they said ‘we want to be the champions again and we want you to be a part of it,” said Strizak.

And on Thursday, as confetti fell from the corners of Filoil Flying V Centre, Strizak had done what she was tasked to do.
Strizak helped the Lady Warriors trump Bali Pure, 20-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-19, for the Reinforced Conference title.
“It’s been amazing, we’ve been through so much,” said Strizak who had 10 points in the victory. “The ups and downs, the imports not being able to play, and I’m just so proud because we never lost our fighting spirit.”

Strizak and the other imports weren’t able to play immediately in the first days of the tournament after their international transfer certificates (ITCs) weren’t released in time.
“We got better every single game and our last match is amazing. It’s amazing, this feeling of winning and just pushing through everything and being our best in the end it’s amazing.”
