The Philippine Olympic Committee and the Philippine Sports Commission will engage in a little friendly competition along with top national sports associations officials during the Olympic Day Celebration on Saturday at Philsports Arena.

Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association secretary general Renato Unso said they would organize the one-day annual affair to promote the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Members of the national team from various sports will join the event where POC and PSC officials have been listed to participate in contests such as the 3k fun run, mixed gender relay, obstacle course and mixed and medley relays for men and women with distances of 50 meters up to 800 meters.

The highlight of the day will be the three-way pull, tug-of war among the officials of the POC, PSC and the NSAs.

“The activity was designed not only for athletes, but for sports officials as well,” said Unso, who will spearhead the organizing team with renowned track and field coach Jojo Posadas.
